This atmospheric film depicts the folk custom of carrying out and burning Morana every year to celebrate the end of winter. The author also raises the question of whether it is fair to view Morana solely in a negative light. After all, if nature did not rest during winter, spring could not come.

Darren Aronofsky’s AFI short opens with angry slacker Dave sitting in a dreary, empty junkyard. Dave stares into space, sips beer, and beats the hell out of a cracked guitar. We quickly realize the emptiness of the dump parallels the emptiness of Dave’s life which consists of smoking weed, staring at television screens and watching school children. Dave’s friend Pete is shortly introduced, along with their friend, Ari, who despite calling her pals losers, doesn’t seem to accomplishing much herself. These three are going nowhere fast. They’re the amoebas of life… protozoa….

An unfinished student short by Roman Polanski. Due to a mix-up in the laboratory, only part of the film was processed and returned to Polanski; the student director was devastated as he was very proud of what he'd shot. Based on a real incident in Polanski's life.

In the 90’s in a convent in Kerala, Sister Philomena is seriously ill while all the others are preparing for the anniversary of the convent school. Sister Nirmala who looks after sister Philomina is assigned to be with the actress Urvasi, the chief guest for the function. Sister Nirmala’s happiness has no bounds as it the same actress she has a deep fascination for, which the rest of the convent is not aware of. Things take a decisive turn when, on the day of the anniversary sister Nirmala is asked to stay back and look after Sister Philomina whose condition has unexpectedly deteriorated.

The director Misha Tumelya and animators Sasha Dorogov and Alexandr Petrov presented this short to Roy E. Disney as a tribute for the 60th anniversary of Mickey. A little over two minutes in length, the cartoon shows a young boy in black silhouette going to a line that divides the screen image in half. It is like a mirror with the young boy on one side and the classic black and white Mickey Mouse in black silhouette on the other side.

A film poem. A minimalist reflection on whether inner states are transferable by the film medium. The aim of a Buddhist mindfulness meditation is to clear away thoughts wandering from the past to the present, to be mindfully aware of each present moment. Each unique NOW NOW NOW passing away just like single frames while the camera grab snatches off meters of expensive 35mm material.

This portrait of a unique, experimental filmmaker and teacher Martin Čihák takes a look at his teaching methods, his meetings with his students at FAMU and at a park where they work with film, or in his studio.

A student from Sutnar in Pilsen, who is also an animation teacher for children, uses faded old objects, transparencies, and an overhead projector in her film experiment to create different moods. However, these speak to the audience not only through their visuality, but also through the poem of the same name by Ewald Murrer.
