The Song of Christmas(en)

A richly animated, exquisitely scored film and narrated by Alexander Scourby. Roy Ringwald composed "The Song of Christmas" as an original musical work to tell the Nativity Story in songs, carols, and passages from the Bible. The film was produced to creatively integrate Stuart Knickerbocker's artistic visualizations with Roy Ringwald's inspiring music.

Kaiju Decode(ja)

The catastrophe "Skyfall" was brought by the collapsed orbital space colony crashed into the Earth. Inside the crater at the crash site now inhabit Kaiju born by gene mutation. Ray, an avatar, comes to the area to collect the scattered "seeds", not knowing what really is going on there, He soon meets Mil, a mysterious girl. Is she a human, or a Kaiju?

The Irresistible Smile(en)

In this chaotic and hilarious short about the plane flight from hell, an ever-smiling flight attendant tries her best to keep things under control while dealing with the world's worst passengers. Smokers, drunks, and the inevitable crying baby are just the beginning (don't even ask about the suitcase full of coughing kittens), but, before things come to their fateful and fiery end, at least everyone is happy for a brief moment.

Seeing Snowflake outside the window on a frosty day, the Hedgehog clung to the glass so that his nose looked like a piglet's. Snowflake mistook him for a pig in a spiky fur coat and invited him to play outside.

Tough Tire! SHADO Tire(ja)

Amateur animation by 20-year-old Hikeaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) while he was studying at Osaka University of Arts. The short features a speeding car with physics-defying tires.

A stop motion animated 16mm film combining the Wizard of Oz and the hunt for Bin Laden, with music by V. Vale and Jad Fair.

The Streamlined Donkey(en)

An exuberant little donkey lives for one thing: the joy of racing at top speed. But his mother, cautions her son to go slow and use care, for misfortune may be just around the corner. When the son tires of his mother's lectures, he leaves from home, dashing off into the desert. Meanwhile, a heinous villain enters the picture, and he uses Mother Donkey as a beast of burden. The little donkey comes back years later to find his mother missing. When the donkey learns what has happened, he dives into action, using his irrational behavior to find his mother. Then, using his superior speed and strength, he gives the miscreant a sound trouncing, thus liberating his beloved mother. The short ends happily with mother and son basking in familial bliss, and Mother Donkey reluctantly acknowledging that extreme caution is not always the only path to righteousness.

The Auto Clinic(en)

Self-service gas bars aren't a modern phenomenon, as evidenced by this visionary cartoon. The Auto Clinic is automated... everyone is treated alike by the three gas pumps until a pretty customer comes along, then they all turn on the charm... but when a cigar-smoking troublemaker comes along, they give him the "treatment." Krazy Kat protects his anthropomorphic service station from the gangster. Lots of bizarre visuals in this one!

Santa Claws(en)

Produced for Glass Eye Pix as part of their 2008 Creepy Christmas Online Film Festival, in which each short was inspired by the inhabitants of a Christmas diorama advent calendar. Each filmmaker was assigned a specific date and given the props that were used in that window to use in their short. This is the eighth film in the series.

This short film created by director Pyer Coffin is the story of Brad and Gary, two creatures living in an unknown world. The plot revolves around the big idea that joining forces to overcome one's shortcomings really is the only way out. Or in. Or maybe out again? It's also a tale about friendship, its ups and downs, ins and outs... This fresh look on solidarity was brought to life by the Illumination Mac Guff Studio, the team behind the success of Despicable Me.
