The creaking of time and the darkness behind the ancient ritual of praying for our existence dance eternally, like a river of souls. On weekends or holidays, the Zhongli train station in Taiwan is always filled with migrant workers who moved to seek out better economic or living conditions. In 1949, millions of Chinese soldiers and civilians migrated to Taiwan; they are regarded as ‘displaced persons’. Yuan’s father was one of these immigrants, a refugee of the civil war, a stranger away from home. For The Strangers, Yuan uses a high-speed camera and a high-lumen spotlight to shoot from the moving passenger car through the window. As the camera captures the face of each person standing on the platform, these strangers transform into sculptures, frozen in time.

In order to dismantle this stigmatization, other images must be presented or we need to reveal what the existing ones seek to cover up. The slum is usually represented from a limited and deceitful visual panorama. This representation has an intention. Cinema and television are two image-producing devices that strengthen the stereotypes that we have about the people who inhabit these spaces. And what happens in the field of painting? Do clichés reign there too? Barcelona has become an overexploited photocall to the point of paroxysm, and this is what this film shows by turning the camera and pointing towards the visitors. A small gesture that, added to a powerful sound contrast and a caustic sense of humour, exposes without subterfuge a grotesque normality.

A Bunch of Questions with No Answers (2025) is a 23-hour film by artists Alex Reynolds and Robert M. Ochshorn. Compiled entirely from questions posed by journalists at U.S. State Department press briefings between October 3, 2023, and the end of the Biden administration, the work removes the officials’ answers, leaving only the unresolved demands for clarity and accountability.

This short film is part of Karpo Aćimović Godina's experimental and documentary work in 1970s Yugoslav cinema. It extends his interest in regional identities, minorities, and the visual traces left by different cultures on Yugoslav territory. The film offers a journey through examples of architecture, decor, and objects related to Islamic tradition in the former Yugoslavia, such as mosques, ornamental elements, and calligraphy. It explores how this art is embedded in the region's history and in the daily lives of the communities that produced it. It is an observational film, without a dramatic plot, functioning primarily as a "visual essay" on the material culture of Islam in a Balkan context. The tone is analytical and contemplative, closer to a cultural study or a poetic inventory.

After consolidating itself as a tourist destination in the mid-1960s, this small coastal village has become the dormitory town for the workers of a Nuclear Power Plant. With the liberal promise of prosperity and socioeconomic wellfare, many workers left their homes to move to the small city and started working at the new Nuclear Power Plant. The collective unrest and the silence, cut off by the great gusts of wind, articulate the landscape of the village that is now under the aid of the Nuclear Power Plant.
