In this version of the golem legend, the golem, a clay statue brought to life by Rabbi Loew in 16th century Prague to save the Jews from the ongoing brutal persecution by the city's rulers, is found in the rubble of an old synagogue in the 20th century. Brought to life by an antique dealer, the golem is used as a menial servant. Eventually falling in love with the dealer's wife, it goes on a murderous rampage when its love for her goes unanswered.

The Flicker Alley DVD "Georges Méliès: Encore New Discoveries (1896-1911)" misidentified a partial hand-colored print of the 1906 film "Alchimiste Parafaragaramus ou La cornue infernale" (The Mysterious Retort) as this film, "L'hallucination de l'alchimiste" (An Hallucinated Alchemist) from 1897, which continues to be considered a lost film.
Roy Del Espacio (aka Roy From Space) was a Mexican animated movie directed by Hector Lopez Carmona, Rafael Angel Gil and Ulises P. Aguirre that was in production from 1979 to 1982, being released in theaters in Mexico City in 1983. However, the end result was apparently of really poor quality, so much that the movie was pulled from theaters only two days after its premiere. The movie was never broadcast on TV nor released on home video, and information about it or its creators is almost nonexistent. The only surviving visual information is a promotional poster containing both original art and a black and white still from the movie.

Kerry Harlan (La Rocque) is unable to work because he was injured in a battle with a shark, so his youthful wife Amy (Reynolds) becomes a fashion model. After the scandal Amy is courted by Tony Channing, but she returns to her husband and finds him near death from gas fumes. Because they both attempted to make suicide, their spirits are rejected by "the other side," and learning the truth from Bertha's spirit they fight their way back to life. This film is presumed lost.

The Scarecrow is elated to think he is going to get his brains at last and be like other men are; the Tin-Woodman is bent upon getting a heart, and the cowardly lion pleads with the great Oz for courage. All these are granted by his Highness. Dorothy picks the princess. -- The Dangerous Mangaboos. -- Into the black pit, and out again. We then see Jim, the cab horse, and myriads of pleasant surprises that hold and fascinate.

Accordingly John Dough drops into the Land of Oz and meets the Cherub.

St. Francis (also known as Nightmare and Dreams and Saint Francis: Dreams and Nightmares) is a French 25 minute anti-war film directed by Berthold Bartosch. Partially financed by Thorold Dickinson, Bartosch worked on it from 1933 to 1938. Very little is known about it, to the point where there are conflicting reports on whether it was in color or in black and white. When the Nazis invaded Paris, the film was still in the editing stages. Bartosch deposited the film at the Cinémathèque Française, where it was destroyed during the Nazi occupation. Reportedly, a few still images have survived, but they are incredibly rare and aren't available online.

Most of these films were underwater fantasies, and this one was no exception. Here, Kellerman is Merilla, a mermaid who is the "Queen of the Sea." Not satisfied with being a mermaid, she wants a mortal human body with an immortal soul. She discovers she can achieve this if she saves four human lives.
This is the story of the heartless mother whose burdens are such that she would be rid of her two children. The henpecked father is compelled to take them to the woods and there lose them. Gretel drops bread-crumbs to find her way home, but wild-fowl eat the crumbs and they are truly lost. The babes wander to the home of a witch, who would fatten them up to make ginger-bread of them. As they are about to be thrown into the blazing furnace Peggy outwits the witch, and, in turn, the witch is thrust into the roaring flames, as the mother, repentant, heads the neighbors in the work of rescue.

Perhaps she would have married him in time had it not been that she aroused the enmity of an old witch, deeply skilled in magic.
In a bakery in the French countryside, Father Latourte, his wife, and their staff are busy with customers, pastries, and baked goods of all kinds. The Latourtes' young daughter, called Red Riding Hood, reads by the firelight until her parents leave for a moment. Red Riding Hood travels through the forest on her errand, meeting a wolf, who finds out where she is going. Encountering her friends from the village school, she happily pauses her journey to play and dance with them. Meanwhile, at a windmill near the cottage, the miller Sans-Souci has comic trouble with his mule.
