The series is a remake of a 1989 movie with the same title and stars Yasmien Kurdi, JC de Vera, Marvin Agustin, Angelika dela Cruz and Dina Bonnevie and directed by Joel Lamangan, it aired on GMA Network from March 24, 2008 until June 27, 2008. From March 31, 2008 until July 4, 2008, the series was aired internationally, with a one-week delay, on GMA Pinoy TV.

January 1943: Admiral Karl Dönitz, head of the Nazis’ U-boat fleet, has brought Britain to the brink of starvation by ruthlessly destroying close to a thousand of their merchant ships. If the transatlantic shipping route is cut off, the Allies will lose their last foothold in Western Europe. The Royal Navy turns to retired war gamer Gilbert Roberts. Roberts is to use war gaming to try to decipher and combat Dönitz’s tactics. To do this, he needs a team, but the Navy can’t spare any men. Instead, he risks the ridicule of high command by turning to the Women’s Royal Navy Service (WRNS) to war game the U-boats’ tactics. In partnership with Jean Laidlaw, one of Britain’s first female chartered accountants, and a small team of resourceful female mathematicians, Roberts acts out naval battles and games the U-boats’ moves on a linoleum floor, using chalk and wooden model ships.

Celebrity Circus was an Australian reality television series which aired in May 2005 on the Nine Network. The show took celebrities and, with the help of Silvers Circus, trained them into circus acts. In the final show the celebrities performed in front of a live crowd and showcased what they had learned. It was shown over five one-hour episodes and was hosted by Bud Tingwell. Various skills include "high-wire, flying trapeze, knife throwing, fire juggling and clowning. Even better, they will be trained in two events called the Human Cannon and the Wheel of Death". The participants were: actors Cameron Daddo and Kimberley Davies; former Home and Away star Dieter Brummer; Celebrity Big Brother winner Dylan Lewis; Australia's Funniest Home Video Show host Toni Pearen; Vadim Dale and his fiance, Natalie Franzman; Olympic beach volleyball gold medallist Kerri Pottharst; and Ricki-Lee Coulter from Australian Idol. The first episode, which aired on 1 May, was placed in the top ten of the ratings for that week. The series appeared in the Portugal on TVI in 2006 as Circo das Celebridades. On 11 June 2008 an American version began airing on NBC.

CBC News The National is CBC Television's flagship national television newscast, broadcast from the Canadian Broadcasting Centre in Toronto. Moo Yeol is a taekwondo instructor who falls for Eun Jae at first sight when she comes and asks him to help her find gold treasures at the agency. Hee Kyung is a tarot card master and Yong Soo is a manhwa shop owner who passes his days with no dreams nor hopes but gets involved in the gold hunting simply for fun. Moo Yeol, Hee Kyung, and Yong Soo gather together at the empty Inquiry Agency office and they discover a dead corpse in the basement. The four of them later decide to start a treasure hunting project.
