Shapeless Variations(en)

A condensation of a handful of sunsets with various visual moods. Red and blue as opposites that still find a way to cohere. Concrete silhouettes over an ever-changing, expanding canvas. Every movement is collective, molecular. Over an invisible horizon, a chance presents itself to meditate on the “speed” of water (and the sea) and also for a more fluid kind of editing.

Sky Spirits(en)

The basis of the experimental film Sky Spirits are real-life shots of fireworks. The authors of the film have collected these shots from the year 2001. to 2008. The experiment explores the ultimate limits of fireworks as sources of light, showing this through real-life dynamic light patters which are led through video processors, resulting in chromatically rich animated samples. The material is "laboratory" processed and then formed into a film unit, while respecting the dramaturgy of fireworks. The original sound was used, which was, of course, subsequently processed, too. The whole work process is a kind of "homage to the tape" because the entire work is completely recorded and realised on digital video tapes, without using any kind of computer program.

The uncomfortable feeling caused by the loss of identity experienced by provincial youngsters who move to Bangkok. Depression might result from growing up in the provinces in the middle of Bangkok, which is a different atmosphere. feeling unrecognizable and eventually losing your identity and thoughts without realizing it.

This experimental short film explores the reconstruction and recollection of traumatic events through fragmented memories, using a non-linear narrative and a layered visual approach. The film emphasizes the penetration of montage, with an anarchic and chaotic tone that reflects both fun and disorder. The film brings to life concerns about how a woman moves, how she speaks, dreams, and how she is stripped of her inherent qualities by a society which continues to sexualize and harmfully perceive her. It visualizes a recollection of thoughts, dreams and memories, symbolically intertwining the characters experiences of their conscious with their subconscious.

In a last-ditch effort to save earth, a man sacrifices himself and is forced to relive a series of suppressed memories that become smeared by the detonation of a stellar bomb. This paranormal explosion of thoughts begin to blur the lines between reality and fiction; the only way out is forward.

Arktis - Zwischen Licht und Dunkel(de)

Arktis is a poetic approach to the bizarre landscape of ice, rock, and water; a journey to the arctic ocean and surroundings, with images and sounds. Seventy one-second scenes of the arctic serve as the original material, which is then transformed in its texture, time lapse, color and light qualities to create a material reminiscent of landscape painting. The sound collage uses fragments from sounds of nature and samples from a piece of music for violin and song, which are also transformed in a manner similar to that of the visual pictures. “Poussières de Juillet”, produced in 1967 by Hachemi El-Chérif, is taken from a poem by Kateb Yacine. "We made a film on the return of the ashes of Emir Abdelkader, to Algeria. It was the opportunity to make a film on the ancestors with M'hamed Issiakhem. He designed glass plates on the basis of my texts. Then we had actors collaborate. It was a film which cost us a total of 300 dinars, proof that we could do work for television without too much money. We won two first international prizes at the Belgrade festival. We left the original of the film with the Egyptians in Alexandria and they lost it. We kept a copy but over time I wonder what happened to it, because there is no not even had a screening, they say it still exists, but I don't know in what state." Kyklop(de)

The short film poem KYKLOP is dedicated to a mechanical eye as an autonomous being. Round wheels and targets similar to him seem to arouse the interest of this main character. The atmosphere is thundery, thunderous. It reminds of the cyclopean thunder demons from the "Theogony" of the ancient Greek poet Hesiod. KYKLOP (2023) is another autonomous part of the film cycle by Telemach Wiesinger and Alexander Grebtschenko that began with TURBULENCE (2022) and its pairs of mechanical wings.

Meta: The Dazzling Girl(xx)

In this single character-driven movie, we follow the life of meta, an archaeologist. In her excavation she comes across an old ruin and unknowingly falls trap to a curse. This curse later leads her head to get stuck in a mystical pot. It is the nature’s payback to her unknown karmic cycle.
