The Rise of the Great Powers (zh)
The Rise of the Great Powers is a 12-part Chinese documentary television series produced by CCTV. It was first broadcast on CCTV-2 from 13 to 24 November 2006. It discusses the rise of nine great powers: Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, and the United States. The documentary "endorses the idea that China should study the experiences of nations and empires it once condemned as aggressors bent on exploitation" and analyses the reasons why the nine nations rose to become great powers, from the Portuguese Empire to American hegemony. The series was produced by an "elite team of Chinese historians" who also briefed the Politburo on the subject." In the West the airing of Rise of the Great Powers has been seen as a sign that China is becoming increasingly open to discussing its growing international power and influence—referred to by the Chinese government as "China's peaceful rise."

Hollyoaks Later (en)
Hollyoaks Later is a spin-off from the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. Broadcast on E4 with a late night slot, the series began in 2008, and was an annual event for the soap until 2013, when there was a break, until it returned with a special episode in 2020. Each of the original series was shown over five consecutive nights. The late night airing allowed for more sexual content, "edgier" storylines, and stronger language. Each series is a stand-alone story, although each ties in with events on the main show at the time, with the producers often taking advantage of the later broadcast time to tie up loose ends on the more violent and controversial storylines.
Freaky (en)
Freaky is a New Zealand children's program that began in 2003, and made by Avalon Productions. It features short episodes about odd phenomena and eerie situations facing children. Usually the protagonist is a boy or girl who starts by trying to do something normal and ordinary, ending up facing an alien, supernatural or weird force of some kind. This is both a fantasy and science fiction show, with aliens, portals and time travel. Often it has a low level horror aspect as well, as in ghost visitations. It is comparable to a children's version of The Twilight Zone. It is set in New Zealand in ordinary locations such as houses, malls and schools. Most of the episodes have one word in their titles. Some episodes show real-life companies; for example, Allens Lollies and Fantastic Noodles are in the "Trolley" episode, and the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets game is in the "Mirror" episode. It aired originally in 2003 in New Zealand, and subsequently on the ABC network in Australia.

Perfect Score (en)
Perfect Score is an American game show in which contestants attempt to choose the most compatible person for themselves from a group of ten strangers based solely on first impressions and short questions in hopes of earning $50,000. The series premiered on The CW on July 16, 2013. Two contestants, usually friends, take turns eliminating individuals of the opposite gender whom they feel they are not compatible with. Each person of the opposite gender is assigned a dollar value for each contestant based on a compatibility test they took before the game began; higher dollar values indicate a higher compatibility, and lower dollar values indicate a lower compatibility. These values range from $50,000 to $1. When three individuals remain, the two contestants choose which of the three they feel they are most compatible with. The contestant who selects the individual with a higher dollar value wins both the money and a date with the person they selected.
