Dong Yi(2010)
Overview
Set during the reign of King Sukjong in the Joseon dynasty, the story focuses on Dong Yi, a water maid who gains the trust of Queen Inhyeon and later the favour of the king when he is moved by her prayers for the health of the Queen during the court disputes caused by Jang Hee Bin. Dong Yi becomes a concubine with the rank of sook-bin and bears a son who will later become the 21st king of Joseon, Yeongjo.

Yi San, also known as Wind of the Palace, is a 2007 South Korean historical drama, starring Lee Seo-jin, Han Ji-min, Park Eun-hye, and Lee Jong-soo. It aired on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation from September 17, 2007 to June 16, 2008 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55. The series was produced by Lee Byeong-Hoon, who also produced award-winning television series Dae Jang Geum. It won "Top Excellence Acting Award" for Lee Seo Jin and "Best Actress" for Han Ji-min at MBC's Acting Awards.
Road No. 1 (ko)
A high-budget war epic, Road Number One commemorates the sixty years that have passed since the Korean War. It's based around the historical Route 1, a national highway that served as the main passageway between North and South Korea during the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950. Lee Jang Woo, the son of a poor peasant, has been in love with his master's daughter, Soo Yeon, since childhood. He joins the military in order to put her through medical school and becomes a brilliant officer, leading his men to victory through guerilla warfare. Mistakenly believing that Jang Woo was killed in battle, Soo Yeon becomes engaged to military officer Tae Ho. Jang Woo returns on the eve of their wedding, and the two are briefly, painfully united, but the eruption of war tears them apart once again, forcing him to fight alongside Tae Ho on top of everything. Jang Woo keeps fighting to get back to his love, but the war continues to find new ways to keep them apart. Leading drama stars So Ji Sub and Kim Ha Neul portray star-crossed lovers who are torn apart by war.

Deep Rooted Tree is a 2011 South Korean television series starring Jang Hyuk, Shin Se-kyung and Han Suk-kyu. Based on the novel of the same title by Lee Jeong-myeong, it aired on SBS from October 5 to December 22, 2011 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:55 for 24 episodes. Taking its name from the poem Yongbieocheonga that says that trees with deep roots do not sway, the series tells the story of a royal guard investigating a case involving the serial murders of Jiphyeonjeon scholars in Gyeongbok Palace while King Sejong comes to create the Korean written language.

Damo is a 2003 South Korean fusion historical drama, starring Ha Ji-won, Lee Seo-jin, and Kim Min-joon. Set in the Joseon Dynasty, it tells the story of Chae-ok, a damo relegated to the low-status job of a female police detective who investigates crimes involving women of the upper class. Chae-ok shares a forbidden love with her mentor and superior Hwangbo Yoon, but while working undercover on a counterfeit ring case, she finds herself drawn to Jang Sung-baek, the mysterious leader of the rebel army she has infiltrated. It aired on MBC from July 28 to September 9, 2003 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 14 episodes.
