While mixing the comedy and documentary formats we follow the search for Harold Heaven, who mysteriously disappeared from his remote cabin in Ontario, Canada, in the winter of 1934. Local police searched the nearby woods and dredged the adjacent lake, but Harold was never found nor heard from again. 85 years later, his great-great-nephew, Mike, attempts to solve this coldest of cold cases, with the help of his extended family and true-crime-obsessed best friend, Jackson.

SOFTNOTES is a multi-hour music video block created for Black Entertainment Television. It debuted in the fall of 1987, and was created & produced by Alvin Jones, former host of Video Vibrations. This video block focused on the genre known as Smooth Jazz, mixed up with R&B, Soft Rock, & Easy Listening videos. this also showed the growing diversity of BET, and paved the way for other Jazz dedicated shows like "Sound & style w/Ramsey Lewis, and Jazz Central. Eventually the program would spin off the BET on Jazz digital cable channel, which is currently Centric. Softnotes remained on the air until 1991, and Paul Porter would host the remainder of the show until it went off the air in mid-late 1991. . Artists like Anita Baker, Kenny G, Najee, Jeff Lorber, Freddie Jackson, and numerous others had their videos shown on the program.

Although rating well in Australia, one of the countries which co-produced the series, it did not do well elsewhere. In 2017 the distribution rights were acquired by Bejuba! Entertainment who have renamed it "Awesome Magical Tales". As of 2019 it is still screening in Australia under its original title.

This story also has a supernatural aspect that makes for exciting viewing.

Pulling Moves was a Northern Irish television programme set in Lenadoon, West Belfast. It follows the exploits of four friends: Wardrobe, Ta, Shay and Darragh. Wardrobe is the leader of the group, who only loves one person, his 'wee ma' and he would do anything for her. Ta lives with Una, the mother of his kids. She is always on his case, trying to get him to leave the group, get a respectable job and make a living for her and the kids, but his nature stops him from doing this. Darragh is always trying to impress his ex-wife to allow him to keep seeing his son. Shay is the youngest in the group, and the one who always makes the mistakes. He is always getting into trouble and his mother always hopes that one day he will be able to get a job and be sensible like his wee sister Niamh. Each episode follows the guys trying different scams to earn money. These schemes vary from nobbling pigeon-racing to dog-breeding, and always with something funny happening to the group. They are joined by other various characters, including "Hoker," an anti-social element who can get anything from stolen cars to lost dogs for the crowd. Wardrobe doesn't like this guy, but Hoker is a friend of Shay's, and he's useful now and again. Crazy Horse is the local wino, he's always drunk and sitting outside the butcher's shop, and finally, Tiny Tim, who owns a pet salon, who the guys help out now and again.
