Unexpectedly, her plans are ruined by a local cunning tour guide, LUK KUNG-CHI, resulting in a falling-out between the two. All of a sudden, SIK-SIK"s boyfriend CHING CHIN-BOK appears to propose marriage to her. The pair start preparing for their wedding ceremony on the heels of their return to Hong Kong.

It was one of the first successful examples of American television broadcasting, remembered as the show that gave Milton Berle the nickname "Mr. Television". The classic 1940–44 version of the program, hosted by radio's Fred Allen, was followed by a radio series on ABC in the spring of 1948. When Texaco first took it to television on NBC on June 8, 1948, the show had a huge cultural impact.

Concentrating on public affairs and public life, it steered clear of controversial subjects and enjoyed strong ratings, inspiring many competitors such as Air Power and The Twentieth Century. In later years, however, it would be criticized as superficial in comparison to "serious" documentary and current events programs.

The New Leave It to Beaver is an American sitcom sequel to the 1950s and '60s series, Leave It to Beaver. The New Leave It to Beaver began with the 1983 CBS TV movie Still the Beaver, and was picked up in 1984 as a Disney Channel series with the same name; however, it only lasted one season. It was then picked up by TBS in 1986 and renamed The New Leave It to Beaver. The series, also syndicated in the late 1980s, lasted until June 1989. It is one of the rare examples of a television series revival sequel that revolves around the characters from the original series. Other examples of this would be The New WKRP in Cincinnati, The Brady Brides, What's Happening Now!! and the 2012 version of Dallas. The New Leave It to Beaver is the second longest running of any series revival in television history.

Set in the 17th Century, Jang Beo-jin is a young female diver on Tamra Island. She doesn't particularly enjoy her situation and dreams of one day leaving the island. One day, to her shock, she discovers a young blond haired man laying on the beach. The young man's name is William and he is a shipwrecked British citizen. Another young man named Park Kyu enters the island under the disguise of one of the many convicts sent to Tamra Island. In actuality, Park Kyu is a budding government official known as a Seonbi. These three young people then become involved in a hilarious love triangle.
