Capital is a semi-improvised dark satire about the most important people in politics, and begins in the wake of a disastrous referendum that brings back Capital Punishment with a 52% majority.

Hyun, a best-selling writer, has found himself in a slump for a long time. In the meantime, he accidentally meets Yu-jin, an aspiring young writer. Hyun gets confused when Yu-jin confesses his love to Hyun. A 19-year-old student and Hyun’s son, Sung-kyung, who is skeptical about his life, meets Jung-won, a young married woman living next door. Sung-kyung has a good feeling for this freewheeling woman. A pure-hearted man, Soon-mo, who is Hyun’s best friend and also the publisher, meets his friend’s ex-wife.

Evolution of the Red Star(en)

Music: Carl Stone. Colored pen-and-ink drawings, like topological maps of biomorphic objects, grow and evolve from the red star. Once the master image is formed, this continuously throbbing, pulsating sight is used to ring changes based on years of optical work. Music and picture work together to create a mood of ecstatic tranquility. The bright colors, beautiful music, surprise at the end, etc. make this a good film for young children. The Honors of War(fr)

One morning in August 1944, the inhabitants of a French village are celebrating their premature liberation. The festivities are interrupted by the arrival of an exhausted, leaderless German detachment. A few kilometers away, the inhabitants of the village of Muzière negotiate with the Germans and agree to a truce. But the arrival of a Wehrmacht captain, anxious to regain control of the men, puts an end to this fragile peace process. The captain suggested meeting the Americans and surrendering to regular troops rather than civilians. The inhabitants of Muzière, believing the truce to be broken, fire on the Germans and, on this misunderstanding, the guns start talking again.

Gussle's Wayward Path(en)

Gussle (Syd Chaplin) comes home with a cute little dog but doesn't want the wife to see it--leading up to a rather funny bit you'll have to see for yourself. The marriage, at first, seems ideal and Gussle and his wife seem devoted. However, it soon seems that this is an act for Syd and it's obvious he's quite the philanderer. Eventually, the wife catches on and sets out to catch him--leading to a rather cute and unexpected ending.

Panya Raenu 3: Lost in India(th)

The young kids of a remote village join the local temple on a merit making trip to India. Once there, they get separated from the group. As the Thai boys and girls try to locate their group, they meet several poor Indian children whose lives seem to be much worse than theirs. Friendship and adventure ensue.
