Later dupe marry an evil Pavlina Šustrová (Ela Poznerová). It can also bring their calculating mother, widow Catherine Šustrová (Antonie Nedošínská). She sacrifices her own life to shield her husband, but Stephen and his former model plunge to their deaths.
