The three 90-foot rolls he created were edited together to complete the journey from Manhattan to Brooklyn, entitled Across the Brooklyn Bridge. As a commission by the Museum of Modern Art for the re-opening of their facility, American avant-garde filmmaker Bill Morrison took this remarkable footage and recombined it with itself to form a new split-screen extrapolation.

0.0POSTCARD FROM SAN MIGUEL is perhaps the most mystical of all the films from Lawrence Jordan's "Odyssey" triptych. On the surface, it is merely a postcard from the picturesque Mexican colonial town of San Miguel de Allende. Underneath is the mysterious quest for the filmmaker's dream-lover.

5.7In the late 1980's, during Peru's bloody internal conflict, an American couple traveled through the countryside looking for alternative healers to treat the woman's terminal illness. Matt is looking for people that might have known his parents, and undergoes some of the same treatments his mother had received. A special role is reserved for the immensely popular "Folklor" singer Sonia Morales.

0.0The film is a travelogue of sorts. Ostrovsky’s personal family footage meets the archives of Soviet propaganda footage. The result is a kind of Khruschev-era mix with a collage of Soviet music and a voice-over of my reminiscences of the Cold War era.
