The tidal wave of the times, when everyone believes that the ideal kind of society has arrived, will in time move in the wrong direction. Ironically, Andrea and Maddalena will be joined together by a thing called love. Idealism, which has been pushed to the forefront of reality, is toying with Gérard's life. Before long, a raging torrent that provides an omen of the tragedy to come will overwhelm all three of them.

Born in Constantine and raised in Toulouse, he was France's best swimmer in the 1940s. Arrested by the Gestapo and then deported, he swam in the unsanitary pools of Auschwitz, from which his wife and daughter never returned. In their memory, this survivor of horror picked himself up and resumed competition until he regained his title as French Champion and once again represented his country at the Olympic Games. Cleopatra rejoices when Antony's wife dies, but Antony's desire for political advancement leads him to marry Caesar's sister. The fragile peace that emerges is short-lived, as Antony returns to Egypt, leading to full-scale war.

In March 2025, "Matsu to One" was performed at the Noto Theater in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture, to pray for the recovery from the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Matsu (Riho Yoshioka), the wife of Toshiie Maeda, whose husband served Nobunaga Oda, and One (Misako Renbutsu), the wife of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, vowed a long-lasting friendship to each other when they were young. However, after Hideyoshi's death, Toshiie soon passed away, and the course of the country's history was pushed forward to the Battle of Sekigahara. Matsu and One were supposed to be bound by a firm friendship, but their bond is unexpectedly shaken in the midst of the conflict.
