Syair Adharian was born on January 10, 2006, in Jakarta, Indonesia. His passion for cinema ignited at the age of eight when his father took him to the theater for the first time. This early exposure cultivated a deep appreciation for cinematography, leading Syair to meticulously analyze visual storytelling elements in the films he watched.
In February 2024, Syair made his directorial debut with the short film Stop Crying Over Split Yoghurt. Beyond directing, he undertook multiple roles, including writer, producer, director of photography, and camera operator, showcasing his multifaceted talent in filmmaking.
Building on this foundation, Syair directed his second short film, Still Here, slated for release on March 15, 2025. The narrative centers on a father grappling with the emotional distance between himself and his daughter during a critical illness. In addition to directing, Syair contributed as a voice actor, portraying the character "Bos Simpati."
