Brazilian filmmaker João Victor Montuori was born in São Paulo, Brazil. In 2023, he was the only latin-american selected for the 10th Masterclass in Film Directing with Ruben Östlund in Bologna and organized by IFA (International Filmmaking Academy), where he wrote, directed and edited ´I Want, I Can´t, I Won´t´, premiered in Bologna's Cinematheque with four festivals around Europe. Still in 2023, he made his experimental-documentary 'INTERVENTIONS AND INTERFERENCES', screened in the opening event of the sculpture 'Espaço Arco-Íris' by Yutaka Toyota in the Parque Geminiani Momesso, with screenings on festivals in Brazil and Europe. Other credits as director includes The Grief of the Mindcapt (2016), The Divine Routine (2017), Black in White (2018) and Tarantula (2019).
