Biography

Dr. John S. Kitchin, M.D., is a retired San Diego neurologist trained in psychiatry. He earned his undergraduate degree at Duke University, and went to medical school at Emory University. Frustrated with his life, he abandoned his sucessful career as a neurologist and moved to San Diego, where he began his new identity as “Slomo,” a roller-blading regular, often in slow motion, at the local boardwalk. He is the subject of a 2018 documentary of the same name.
