Jeff was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At an early age he showed a desire
to be in the spotlight demanding attention from his parents especially
if there was a camera rolling. As he progressed thru school he
participated in school plays and musicals. Jeff displayed a knack for
comedy and was able to turn the smallest of roles into big laughs and
memorable moments.
In high school he found his passion for
writing and creating film, leading his drama classmates on a satire
assignment of the show cops. The project however would be shut down as
it was determined to be "to risqué" for high school students. These
characters and concept remain a goal of Jeff's to one day see the
project thru to conclusion.
After high school Jeff abandoned
acting and film making aspirations for the typical jobs. He relocated to
Kananaskis, Alberta in 2005 and found a group of friends who he would
later cola berate on his first amateur film entitled "Death Mountain 2 -
Bloody, Bloody, Forest". He was cast as the hero of the film but
shooting was not completed as scheduled and the original script was
modified so the role became that of a flashback character.
Jeff
soon after moved to Calgary and while working in the Food & Beverage
industry took a screen writing class at SAIT. Upon conclusion of this
course he's been brainstorming ideas for the right projects to start
with. On a hockey trip to Las Vegas he learnt of a teammates film
background and they came up with the idea for a short film.
The
film was fleshed out, loosely scripted and filmed on the last day of the
trip. It is Jeff's first film as a film maker and it is called "The
Quest for TP".
