In an obviously subjective documentary, Kévin Fafournoux tells the story of his father who, in 2020, put an end to 25 years of mayorship in Veyre-Monton, a village of Auvergne, a region in France.

The Flaghoisters is a film about the confrontation between the countryside and, as people from Drenthe call it, “the city dwellers”. A story about a disappearing language, the safety of your village, greeting each other, being proud, and just acting "normal".

And never once do we get out of the house, whose rooms provide the film's structure. Comfort or passion? Carlo couldn't really decide until it was too late.
