A construction worker happens to find an ancient box comprising of an attractive 'Navarathna' Necklace while digging at construction site. Strange things happen to people around this suspicious Navarathna necklace and thereby the story takes a sharp turn to a restricted Forest where 3 people travel deep into the forest. The story then unfolds in a suspicious thriller manner.

Their goal is to find the human stories behind the nation's social and political schism, proving that Americans are not tied together by political identity, geographical location or belief systems, but primarily by love, hope and dreams - universal truths.

Travelling Hawkers in Frankfurt am Main(de)

A documentary about unemployed people who bought fruit and vegetables at moderate prices at the wholesale market and sold these in the streets of Frankfurt. Since they had no permits they were constantly with their bulky carts on the run from the police. One part of the film was shot at the fairgrounds in front of the wholesale market. Newspaper and lottery ticket vendors, propagandists offering their ware for a few pfennigs, all convey the mood of a time when need made people inventive.

The film deals with a young man, following his “endeavors” in the city he lives in, which mostly comprise of him roaming the streets aimlessly. In the beginning, he seems peculiar but still normal, but as the story progresses, the portrait of a sadomasochistic man is revealed quite eloquently.

A romantic comedy in which two new neighbours initially cannot get along, but their staff get along just fine.

Mysterious images shot around a wadi (a waterway in North Africa or the Middle East, often dried up), perceived as too calm by the filmmaker and his brother hence the “windless” of the title, are the setting for excerpts of audio conversations. In these, three men painfully describe their unmentionable traumas, which they have buried since childhood.

This year’s episode, Milestones, focuses on how different groups of Asian Americans mark the milestones throughout their lives.
