'Poddapuran' is based on the life of a group of Bangladeshi human beings living by the mighty River Padma. The plot of 'Poddapuran' cinema revolves around a low-income community living on the bank of the once-mighty Padma River.
Khorshed chairman is an honest person and rules in favor of justice. Alamin is his dearest assistant who lives with his mother at Khorshe'd house. Alamin and Khorshed's daughter are in love. When Alamin's mother gets to know about this she wants to send her son away. Khorshed denies to leave Alamin but upon knowing about the relationship, he himself sends Alamin abroad. But tragedy follows Khorshed when he gets accused of murder. Some unexpected events start to unfold since then.

After a couple bad vaudeville acts, it's Egghead's turn, but in the meantime, the bad guy swapped the lamp for a coffeepot. Egghead is thrown out, then sees the bad guy using the lamp; Egghead breaks in, steals the lamp and the girl, and flies off. But she uses the lamp herself to conjure up a real hunk to replace the nerdy Egghead.
