A Mix című filmben az amerikás magyar apa (Kulka János) és tinédzser fia, Mitch (Alex Weed) között tovább mélyül a generációkat elválasztó szakadék, amikor egy temetés miatt Magyarországra, Budapestre utaznak. Mitch szülei Óhazájában kezdetben úgy érzi magát, mint a partra vetett hal. Miközben minden igyekezetével azon van, hogy időben visszaérjen az Egyesült Államokba, a los angelesi jövője szempontjából elengedhetetlenül fontos Dee Jay meghallgatásra, belekeveredik a budapesti éjszakába.
