ACM Presents: Tim McGraw's Superstar Summer Night(en)

Fifteen time ACM Award winner, acclaimed actor and entertainer Tim McGraw is handpicking the hottest music of summer and calling on his friends to help kick off the 2013 touring season. The two-hour star-studded concert event will feature performances and collaborations from country, pop, rock and more, as well as a few surprise special guests from the worlds of film and television. All proceeds will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy, and an organization that McGraw was closely affiliated with over his last tour.

Faithful to the cause started by Coluche in 1985, thirty-seven renowned artists answered his call, in a festive and warm atmosphere. This year, Les Enfoirés made their revolution and offered a collective show punctuated by 17 tableaux as poetic as they were spectacular through the ages. Live at the Brixton Academy in London, England on the 12th of December, 1986. It turned out to be the last time the Smiths were on stage together, bar a few TV appearances. This was the only time “Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others”, “Shoplifters Of The World Unite” and the “London”/”Miserable Lie” medley were ever performed by them.

Performers alternate between doing their own hits, covering Queen songs, or jamming with the surviving members of Queen.

Nightwish: End of an Era(en)

End of an Era is a concert from Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, on 21 October 2005, the final concert of a long worldwide tour for their album Once. During the concert the band was joined on-stage by John Two-Hawks, who performed "Stone People" from his album Honor as an introduction to "Creek Mary's Blood", which featured his voice and cedar flutes. End of an Era is the final Nightwish production to feature Tarja Turunen on vocals. She was dismissed by a letter after this concert. In addition to original Nightwish songs, three significant covers appear, their known cover of Gary Moore's "Over the Hills and Far Away", Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera", and a cover of Pink Floyd's "High Hopes". The running time of the concert is 1 hour and 43 minutes. It also contains a 55-minute documentary about the fifteen days prior to the concert, A Day Before Tomorrow, and a photo gallery.

Organized by Harrison's widow, Olivia, and son, Dhani, and arranged under the musical direction of Eric Clapton and Jeff Lynne. A benefit for Harrison's Material World Charitable Foundation, the all-star concert took place on the day of the first anniversary of his death. Proceeds from the film also went to the Material World Charitable Foundation. The film was shot using discreet cameras from over twelve locations.
