This film takes a dive into a photographic archive that portrays the 1968 student movement in Mexico. By reviewing over 1300 photographs of students, soldiers and citizens, and the development of a movement inside the Mexican capital, marked by the massive uprisings and the government's repression, the film questions the relationship between memory, power and representation.

Return is a methodical construction of the approach of an individual towards an unseen goal, which assumes metaphorical significance. Viola moves toward the camera/viewer, pausing every few steps to ring a bell, at which point he is momentarily thrust back to his starting place, and then advanced again. Finally reaching his destination, he is taken through all of the previous stages in a single instant and returned to the source of his journey.

Hikaru, still a year from graduating, wants to support Kyousuke as well and does that in her own way. But while she does that, Madoka feels jealous and tells her feelings to Kyousuke. And then Kyousuke has to take action to finally decide on the girl he loves.
