Dilution(en)

Dilution is an experimental short film that explores the transit between resistance and (di)ssolution, between holding and releasing and a path towards obsessive repetition. They are layers, exposed pores, matter that oscillates between remaining or disappearing. The sound is not a background, but a puncture: friction, tearing, water that drags what still persists. A sensorial testimony of what refuses to vanish completely.

What happens when a baby is born? What if there is no milk? Or just a drop too much? An animated short film which describes the mental process of becoming a parent - in a scenery of a catastrophe film. When the baby is born the fresh mother has to give up the life she knew. A flood of breast milk covers everything - her home, work, friends, relationship and a good night sleep. The life she knew doesn’t exist any more. There’s just the mother and the baby - in an ocean of breast milk.

Fairytale full of light, magic and nostalgia. A clay doll awakens her surroundings that become a surreal world in constant flow of change. Shot with natural light, the visible changes of daylight emphasize the passage of time in the film.
