10.0If a machine would possess a soul it might be a beach. Every single sand corn symbolizes a data-set of a memory captured in the world wide web saved deep down in the ocean. From there the bytes condense and finally reach the cloud. But how would it feel for a machine to see the glitch waves and feeling the shore stones on its case? What would be the colours of the coastline? Glitching Offshore tries to portrait the soul of an AI and the universe behind it. Glitching offshore, alike drifting away as in a psychogeographical dérive (furthermore, away from the "rive": bank) where human intentional yet chaotic action is substituted by pixels' stirrings of the soul.
3.0A woman is faced with existential crisis after learning that the universe is an untitled simulation.
0.0Co-directed by Max Devereaux and Igor Amokian, MD+IA=? is a sonic and visual collage that fuses circuit-bent electronics, broken tape loops, glitching drum machines, and free-improvised guitar. Amokian’s footage of modified CRT televisions generating unruly abstractions is layered with Devereaux’s processed iPhone videos, altered through datamoshing and glitch-editing apps. The result is a vivid collision of sound and image—a colorful flux of patterns and distortions where technology’s failures become raw material for improvisation.
0.0How can a DSLR camera move in the ruins of a 19th century mansion that is battered to be covered with glass and steel in the days to come, for that’s a more appropriate image as a shopping mall. How to get up and to do what in the ruins; the scenery of late ones to come? Here, this occurs: there are holes in some walls releasing specters to haunt which that makes impossible to reach. What is an Istanbul, where is Aleppo.
0.0Mônica and Camila walks at night. A strange sound surprises them. An object falls from the sky. They receive a message. Something evokes them.
