‘Kunst & Revolution is a documentation on the famous action known as the “filthy uni mess”, which led to a jury court trial. I only had a few metres of film with me and they were quickly spent, but still the film gives one a rough impression of the events. As a whole mythology quickly arose around the event, I altered the material to counteract this effect (through repetition, and adding other material, for instance from a film about keeping dogs, and my own leftover footage from the Muehl action number 54 ‘Im Freudenauer Wasser’).’ In film 16 of his anthology Ernst Schmidt Jr. documented the actions of Günter Brus, Otto Muehl, Peter Weibel and Oswald Wiener.

The small Portuguese coastal town of Nazaré is unique in Europe. It became the Olympus of surfing in the 2010s. Monster waves roll ashore here between late autumn and spring. They are the largest in the world, so Nazaré is a hotspot for big wave surfers such as the German professional Sebastian Steudtner, the only German extreme athlete in this field who belongs to the world's elite. The giant waves are spectacular, but they are also extremely dangerous. They have given the former fishing port a new boom, because the activities of the surfers now attracts tourists in droves to the place even in winter. But accidents with serious injuries occur again and again. The documentary shows how the coastal town is handling the new attraction and how Sebastian Steudtner is preparing for a new record ride on the biggest wave on earth.

Hand luggage is stuffed into a bag; one last cigarette before the guard knocks on the door. A prisoner is about to go on a journey. René is to be transported in a prison bus to another town for a court hearing. "Raumfahrer" describes the curious procedure of the transfer of a prisoner – or ‘Verschubung’ as it is known in German – from the point of view of the prisoner. It’s a case of constant stop and start in front of closed doors and gates, as well as endless periods of waiting around. As the bus travels through town and country, the world moves past René’s narrow observation slit in cinemascope. Everything seems close enough to touch and yet so very far away.

Dark Highway is a documentary about the invisible crime of sex trafficking in Ontario. The film is led by filmmaker, Anna Jane (AJ) Edmonds, a bystander, as she takes audiences along the 401 Highway to meet survivors, their advocates and the change makers. These personal conversations detail the luring, grooming, hunting, torturing and exploiting of vulnerable people, most notably children, in our communities. The film exposes the present but invisible dangers of the crime; the places that young people are lured and groomed as well as how those who survive are then further exploited during the fight for justice. Though focused on a Canada perspective, the film mirrors global survivor commentary.
