A thinly-disguised version of the life of Marilyn Monroe, detailing her ups and downs in life and how her erratic behavior contributed to her deteriorating career.
The further adventure of Nick, Paizs' silent hero sets off to college where he meets Brock West (Winnipeg journalist and rocker Peter Jordon, aka Rocky Roletti). Unwittingly, Nick becomes involved in attempts to restore old campus hangout and the dirty political tricks swirling a hard fought student election. The film successfully weaves the tone of 40s college hijinx movies through the clever spoof of current electoral trends, suggesting how easily old fashioned ethics can turn into fashion.
A documentary about the development around Barton Springs in Austin, Texas, and nature's unexpected response to being threatened by human interference.
In one of the great (hooray!)spoiler titles of all time, this version of the Hare vs. Tortoise fable finds the contest being done on ice skates between teams of rabbits and turtles, and the turtles cheat like crazy...and, since the title tells all, I suppose it's okay to mention the plodders win again.

Mickey is driving a taxi. His first fare is a very large gentleman. Mickey stops traffic and gets a tongue-lashing from the officer. The cab runs into some bad road, bounces the fare down to almost nothing, then bounces the customer right out of the cab. Mickey pulls up to the curb and picks up his second passenger, Minnie. She plays her accordion while they ride. The cab gets a flat tire, and Mickey uses a pig to pump it up.
In early 19th century Wales, Catherine Morgan, a widow with two daughters, must endure the bumpy road to a distant market in order to sell her cattle to save her farm and family.
Osher, Michelle and Eitan were evicted from their homes as children and transferred to foster care. These are supportive and stable families, but with a specified expiration date - when the boy / girl turns 18. The biological families are in a state of dysfunction and are absent. The film accompanies the three towards the end of the last year as part of the foster care and the first year of independence. The personal relationship that develops between them provides them with a supportive, stable and shaky framework at the same time, similar to that between the drowning person and the straw. Without the protective patronage of the foster care framework that has loosened or expired completely, they are exposed and swayed to the wind when past traumas burned into their minds may erupt and crush at once what has been built, or seemed to have been built, with much toil and torment.
In the Yamal peninsula, in the northwest of Siberia, the Nenets live to the rhythm of seasons that are now out of order. Faced with increasingly mild winters and an unstable ice cap, these nomadic reindeer herders are forced to delay their transhumance, caught between a food that is drying up and the risk of drowning in the Ob River. Elsewhere in the Arctic, signs of global warming are mounting.
An innocent mix-up leads to disaster when two girlfriends encounter an extraterrestrial substance at a winter music festival.
