0.0In this experimental short film, Kristian Day collected artwork created by the public. He found the majority of the pieces at "Sharpie marker demonstration tables" and it took almost a year to collect the artwork. All pieces were created by chance with no prior thought. He originally intended on using the photos for a collage canvas piece, however after deciding that a short film would stand the test of time longer, he took individual shots of over 30 pieces. The drone music was created using a variety of simple sound generators & tapes that are being manipulated by delays, filters, and reverberation effects.

0.0Georgswerder is a small "underdeveloped" district in Hamburg, Germany. This film follows four residents to explore the problems and potentials of the neighborhood - and uses hybrid animation to make their visions come to life. This is a commissioned work by Studio Ranokel for "Q8". Q8 does social work in the context of neighborhood development. The film portrays Georgswerder and its challenges in order to make it more visible in general AND specifically for Q8 to have something to show to potential partners that might not be very familiar with Georgswerder.

The Visible Compendium constructs bits of unnamed meanings, fragments of light. Photography is, to me, not about things, but about light. Light is our primary reality when we are at the movies. Light which suggests things, the secondary reality, a construct by the mind.
0.0Alfio Antico, a Sicilian musician, lives deeply attached to his land, to its traditions and to its painful and cruel rituals. The images of the earth, the wind and of dreams blend with a repetitive and tantric music that echoes the voice of the Sicilian street vendors.
