Overview
The World Rally Championship, one of the fastest, most dramatic and most exciting motor sports in the world. Strip back the years and you will see that what is there now is built on many years of polishing. In this two part special, we follow the evolution of the sport from its early foundations in the 1900s to the move towards its professionalism in the 60s and 70s. Exciting footage captures the glory years of Group B in the early 80s with its monstrous Turbo Charged beasts before rolling onto Group A and what ultimately is the sport today. Showcasing all the stand out cars using archival footage and featuring interviews with the pioneers of the sport as well as the super stars of today, this two hour program offers a comprehensive history of rallying and a thoroughly entertaining watch.
