Overview

One of the two earliest horror films ever made. This film is presumed lost. In this black comedy scene, the bottom falls out of a coffin, the corpse tumble out, and is jolted back to life. Short sequences like this, as well as street scenes and dancing geisha girls were the main subjects of early Nippon cinema, pioneered by Shiro Asano and Shibata Tsunekichi from 1897 onwards. The cat puts the searchers on the right track, and the groom finds his bride.

Malice in Wonderland(en)
A jet-propelled white rabbit flies through the vulva of a supine woman into a wonderland where people and objects turn inside out, changing shapes and identities at warp speed. Events roughly follow Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland." The caterpillar and the queen make appearances, as does Alice. Images and symbols are often sexual. At the end, Alice asks, "Who has had such a curious dream?"

If you love beer, maybe you shouldn't work in a brewery. Head brew master Herman values his lager more than his life. During one of his drunken sprees he topples over into a beer kettle. An event that will prove to have strange effects on his colleagues, a group of Japanese tourists, and eventually: the typical Dutch tradition of Queen's Day.
