A young woman is released from prison, after serving an eight-year sentence for murder, and wishes to start her life over. Getting a job at a newspaper through a friend, she tries to settle in despite the pressures of being an ex-convict. As part of a publicity campaign for the film 42nd Street (1933), Warner Bros. Pictures, with the assistance of the General Electric Corporation, assembled a 7-car gold- and silver-plated train they called "The 42nd. Street Special".
