Charlie Louvin: Still Rattlin' the Devil's Cage(en)

Fifty years later, and he's still rattlin' the Devil's cage. Charlie Louvin can walk through a crowded mall and not attract attention. But it shouldn't be that way; the humble 83-year-old musician in the cowboy hat and jeans is a true American hero. To start, 50 years ago he and his brother recorded "Satan is Real," an album that shook up the music business. And the life he lived thereafter was pretty radical, too, from his military service to his country to his 61-year marriage to his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry. On Friday, December 3, 2010 at the fooBAR in Nashville, we caught Charlie Louvin on stage, making music for his fans, celebrating the anniversary of that famous album. And we filmed the night for history's sake. This is the tribute he so richly deserves.

Its name comes from a song by the well-known and successful band Hertzainak, which is also referenced in the documentary, along with the work of other rock bands and singer-songwriters. The documentary features interviews with musicians who played rock from mid-1975 to 1990. There are 23 interviews in total, with musicians from bands such as Barricada, Hertzainak, Itoiz, Zarama... In addition, the documentary includes spectacular images from that period, as the rock boom was linked to different movements in the Basque Country: gaztetxes (youth clubs), free radio stations, and fanzines. The documentary is a portrait of the youth who had just emerged from the dictatorship.

Recorded in February 2019 in Rio de Janeiro, Ludmilla releases the first live DVD of her career. With diverse participations, the audiovisual project has features with renowned names of music, from different styles, such as Anitta, Jão, Léo Santana, Ferrugem and Simone & Simaria, besides gathering countless hits from the singer, some new songs and a cover by Beyoncé. In total, there are 24 tracks and more than 70 minutes of music. “I hope my fans and the audience enjoy it too much, it was done with a lot of love, affection and energy.
