She quit her job however and subsequently met an old friend. She was connected to a new position being a counselor as a result. She would counsel men at the customers' houses. Clients are men who have no friends or families and suffer from sexual dysfunctions. She proved to be helpful.

Madoka Sawa, a one-woman hostess, faces off against Akira, who is competing for the most popular hostess spot at a gay bar in Shinjuku. Akira steals Kusumi, who was her sponsor, and ends up opening a "Night Park" in Shinjuku, but Madoka falls into a trap set by Akira and is fired from the store. In despair, he vows revenge.

In these days homosexuality was seen as unusual and hidden away from public. A 31 year old actor checks into a hotel in Tokyo, leaving a note with the words "Dad, wait in Nirvana..."

Sea of Vanity(ja)

A film adaptation (funded by Ken Togo) based on an expose book by a person involved in the Japanese entertainment industry of the time. The book describes among other things the drug-fueled parties, orgies of the entertainment business and what some celebrities like Johnny Kitagawa among others were allegedly up to in their free time. Basically giving an open-book about the secrets of the entertainment-world. The film adapts and portrays some of the shocking scenes of this book, focussing more on the gay-aspect of the expose.

After his wife and child committed suicide, Sasaki was so shocked that he quit his job and has been living a modest life painting. Then, by chance, he meets up with an old colleague and heads to the home of his colleague's wife, Sachiko, who is waiting for him. Sasaki also begins to have a physical relationship with Sachiko's younger sister.
