"Shor Se Shuruaat" is an omnibus feature of mentored short films, around the central theme of "Shor"- noise. These films have been made by budding directors, mentored by some of India's leading filmmakers.

Chooriyan(hi)

Chooriyan is the story of Simran (Gracy Singh), an orphan who has always dreamt of being a part of a family. Her dream finally comes true when Army Office Aman (Sudanshu Pandde) asks her to marry him and she lives happily as part of Aman's family. Aman and Simran cherish every moment before he returns back to his army duty.

Sultana, a small town prostitute and her pimp Khudabaksh migrate to the metropolis, bringing with them their dreams and meagre belongings. Sultana goes about her bright and artful seductions but somehow misses her targets. Her business collapses. Desperately, Khudabaksh too tries his hand at many jobs but is unsuccessful. Sultana's loneliness and despair get objectified in her desire for a 'salwaar' that she needs to complete her black ensemble for the observance of mourning for Moharram.

Heart surgeon Dr. Viren Goenka, his wife Sanjana and their seven-year-old daughter Anishka live in Mumbai. He promises to celebrate his daughter's birthday once he returns. But fate has something else planned for Viren and his family: Anishka is kidnapped under Sanjana's nose. A rarity in 70's Bollywood since it does not contain any musical interludes.

Shankar, a bank robber, gets married to Paaro and decides to lead a crime-free life. However, on his first conjugal night, he gets arrested and Varma, a corrupt banker, forces him to rob his own bank.
