Music documentary charting the life of one of Gaeldom's great characters - Rona Lightfoot. The revered singer, piper, storyteller and teacher carries a treasure trove of folklore, music and song with her. Born in South Uist, Rona grew up in a family rich in tradition. There are countless young singers and pipers who have benefited from Rona's skill as a tutor. She has taught at feisean all over Scotland and has been an instructor at Ceolas on South Uist every year since its inception in 1996. Her ready wit and storytelling skills make her a popular MC at musical events, and her great love for piping remains undiminished. Rona is busier than she has ever been, relishing the opportunity to judge at piping competitions and mentor young pipers. A national treasure, Rona Lightfoot continues to be a source of songs, wisdom and humour to the Gaels all over the world.
