She begins to realize how people get ahead in the Party: by saying things they don't mean but think are politically correct; by becoming friends with Party dignitaries, even if you don't like them; by being seen as a dedicated worker (as opposed to actually being a dedicated worker).

Unfortunately for the judge, Hoot Kloot goofs up along the way and the judge gets blown up, run over by a train, and falls down the cliff. They eventually return to the Cactus Goat, with the judge making a certain sheriff his enemy. Last "Hoot Kloot" cartoon.

The infected bodies and their stories disappear from the public eye, as though they'd never existed. Through the death of his friends and subsequently his own, Baldiga becomes a chronicler of his time: "I am taking a picture. I am photographing the world. I exist."

Meanwhile, the computer-savvy mother crow wants to make sure her daughter wins. She succeeds, and the beautiful Fox leaves the palace upset. The kind-hearted winner gives her the crown, realizing that she received it undeservedly. When Foxy won the competition and became Miss New Year, little Crow became Miss Honesty.
