Topacio was written by Benilde Avila, Milagros del Valle, Ana Mercedes Escámez, and Delia Fiallo and directed by Luis Alberto Lamata and Luis Manzo. This telenovela lasted 181 episodes and was distributed internationally by RCTV International.
