Musical by the Takarazuka Revue. In modern day France, an exhibition is being held at the Palace of Versailles of the "Necklace of Marie Antoinette". The necklace had been used in a fraud case that marked a chapter in French history and later went missing. It has been reproduced using real diamonds. Fujiko has sneaked into Versailles, as has the gang of Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen - all with the intention of getting their hands on the necklace, which is valued at over 3 billion yen in today's money. But they bump into Inspector Zenigata. Lupin is the one who manages to foil Zenigata and grab the necklace. Yet the instant he lays hands on it, everyone is enveloped in a mysterious light. When they regain consciousness, they notice they have gone through a time slip to 1785, before the French Revolution when Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were around.

His attraction to her passion is portrayed in this musical work. -- Apasionado!! III -- Apasionado in Spanish means "hot" or "the passion of man." To the theme of "heat," its various forms are incorporated into this revue, such as in hot rhythms, heated emotions, burning love, and the flames of jealousy. At the end of the Edo Period, there was a legendary chivalrous thief who stole from rich merchants and self-serving samurai and gave to the virtuous people of the town. His name was Nezumi-kozo (Rat Boy) Jirokichi. This musical is about how he competed with and was friends with the hero of so many period dramas (Touyama Kinshiro), and about the loves they surrounded themselves with in the new and progressive Japan. Since its premiere in Vienna in 1992, the musical "Elisabeth" has been performed all over the world. In Japan, "Elisabeth" was first performed by the Takarazuka Snow troupe in 1996, prior to the first performances in other countries. A total of 10 versions of the musical have been performed by different troupes, making it one of Takarazuka Revue's most popular musicals. The "Elisabeth TAKARAZUKA 25th Anniversary Special Gala Concert" was held in 2021 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Snow troupe's first performance.
