Alex Linden is a psychiatrist living in Vienna who meets Milena Flaherty though a mutual friend. Though Alex is quite a bit older than Milena, he's attracted to her young, carefree spirit. Despite the fact that Milena is already married, their friendship quickly turns into a deeply passionate love affair that threatens to overtake them both. When Milena ends up in the hospital from an overdose, Alex is taken into custody by Inspector Netusil.

She encounters four European travelers who are en route to "La Vallée": The Valley, high in the Guinean mountains, is shown on maps as 'obscured by clouds' and is beyond their previous experiences. Viviane joins their trek to find rare feathers and soon becomes entwined in their journey. Their extended stay with the Mapuga tribe brings a denouement between western and indigenous values before their final quest toward the 'Valley of the Gods'.

This program tells the story of the making of this landmark release through new interviews with Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason and archive interviews with the late Richard Wright. Also featured are sleeve designer Storm Thorgerson, guest vocalist Roy Harper, front cover burning man Ronnie Rondell and others involved in the creation of the album. This film is a portrait of the group as it was more than a year before the release of the album The Dark Side of the Moon. It bears witness to one of the most fruitful periods in its existence. The recording session was filmed with a Coutant camera on 16mm black and white reversal stock. The rushes were found again by the filmmaker and are now preserved at the Cinémathèque française. They have never been seen except for a ten-minute excerpt used in the director's cut of Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii.

On Thursday 20 April 2023, the shadow of the moon grazed the tip of Western Australia, as it travelled over one of the world’s most beautiful areas – the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Marine Park in Exmouth. Overseen by the group’s long time Creative Consultant and Hipgnosis co-founder, Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell, Pink Floyd gave eight Australian fans (named The Astronomy Domine Eight) the exclusive opportunity to visit the special scenic location within the region to hear THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON in full.
