Their most ambitious staging to date, Black Symphony is capturing a unique concert at Rotterdam's Ahoy Arena on February 7, 2008. Sold out months in advance, Within Temptation performed to 10,000 fans with the 60-piece Metropole Orchestra and a 20-voice classical choir, as well as on-stage stilt performers, costume changes, and an array of stunning pyrotechnic and lighting effects. Intended as simple messages of love, Valerie's memories are suddenly unleashed in the midst of the recordings. The film begins with shots of the castles of Bezděz, Točník and Karlštejn. In a restaurant at Karlštejn the guests remind Hašler that he is performing at the Varieté club. Hašler misses the train so he starts walking along the main road in the hope of getting a lift. In despair he forces a car to stop and makes the chauffeur to drive backwards to Prague. They stop at the wharf but, because he misses the steamboat , he uses a motorboat. The rest of the journey is spent on a tram. Hašler then quickly changes his clothes in his flat he reaches the Varieté club across the rooftops.

This 12-minute Brazilian short film employs the found footage style in a slightly different way. The film is presented as a merge of two separate files extracted from the police archives in Sao Paulo, Brazil. On the first one, two policemen talk to each other, while watching and analysing images captured by surveillance cameras that shows a woman being stabbed to death by a couple, just before the two aggressors get killed by a mysterious man that shows up at the place. The second portion of the movie shows the intriguing facts that happen during a police raid on the apartment where the suspect of killing the previous couple lives.

From the imagination of René Gilbert, "100 limit" was the first TV program made by the comedy group called "Powder Blue." Initially composed of Pierre Brassard, Richard Z. Sirois, JiCi Lauzon, Dany Laferrière and Yvon Landry, this team was going to skim the news at the end of 1988 and remodel so hilarious at late night newscasts a 30-minute Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening at a bulletin an hour Friday evening. The year two of this concept Dany Laferrière will leave the ship and new employees Tachereau Ghislain André Robitaille and Jacques Chevalier make their entrance and following the limited success of the first season, the show became a weekly which is presented every Friday evening. The show really takes off and quickly became a staple of humor Quebec waves. In 1991, TQS half sword budget and the issue ends up canceled. The company Distribution Select allows us to relive the great moments that have marked this show when the DVD "100 limit" appeared.

The Soul Cages Concert(en)

Recorded during a series of concerts at The Hague in early May 1991, this show is from 10 May and served as a benefit gig for Kurd Aid. It isn't a full length performance of course, but still remains interesting. Several of the performances were released as live b-sides on 'Ten Summoner's Tales' era singles. Perhaps of most interest is the live version of Hendrix's 'Purple Haze', a rip-roaring crowd favourite from that tour.

Prince and the Revolution: Parade LIVE(en)

On June 7th, 1986, Prince celebrated his 28th birthday by performing for a packed crowd at Detroit’s Cobo Arena. The show was filmed and edited for later broadcast in Europe and Japan as promotion for his then-forthcoming 1986 Parade tour, which hit eight countries in less than a month. The Parade tour never officially hit the United States, with Prince deciding to test the show out on audiences in a handful of cities across the country before taking it abroad. Fortunately, videotapes of the Detroit show have been circulating amongst hardcore Prince collectors for years and have found their way onto the internet so you can witness what was arguably Prince’s funkiest tour to date.
