Extraordinarily the only way to get there is on the Royal Mail Ship, which sails from Cape Town once a month. But 350 years of isolation, since the island was first settled, are about to come to an end. In a few months' time St Helena's newly-constructed airport will receive its first flights. As they prepare for a very different future Our World has been to meet St Helenians to discover how they feel about the end to their isolation.
