The Mark Steel Lectures (en)

The Mark Steel Lectures are a series of radio and television programmes. Written and delivered by Mark Steel, each scripted lecture presents arguments for the importance of a historical figure. The lectures were originally broadcast on BBC Radio 4 over three series between 1999 and 2002. Many of the arguments were illustrated by miniature sketches. These sketches featured Mark Steel, Martin Hyder, Mel Hudson, Carla Mendonça, Femi Elufowoju Junior and Debbie Isitt. The first series was subtitled "A series of lectures about Englishmen who changed the course of history", with the remaining two changing this to "A series of lectures about people with a passion". The first series was produced by Phil Clark; the others by Lucy Armitage. The lecture on Ludwig van Beethoven was nominated for a Sony Radio Comedy Award. The programme transferred to television in 2003, with an Open University series on BBC Four, which was later repeated on BBC Two. Heavenly Ghost Catcher (zh)

A Singapore co-production with Taiwan TV about the legendary ghost-catcher Zhong Kui, with a star-studded cast comprising Singaporean and Taiwanese drama artistes. The series is divided into 5 main stories: Yang Guifei, Zhong Kui meets Justice Bao, The Secret of the Goblet, Beauty from Jiangshan and Snow in June. Zhong Kui is a widely known legendary figure. He is a ghost catcher in China. He is conferred a title of “Ghost Catching General” and “Yama – King of Hell”. It authorises him to manage all matters of injustice. Zhong Kui helps to redress cases in which the victims die unjustly. The culprits of mischief will surely be punished.

Okometsubu Fujiyama has recently transferred over to a new school, Wakame High School. His goal is to make 100 friends--until he meets the extremely wierd Masaru Hananakajima. Masaru is a martial artist whose specialty is the "Sexy Commando" form of martial art. Masaru forms a club based on this art, including Fujiyama, who he nicknames Fuumin, in the club. The club becomes full of strange, yet wacky people. Aliens, moustaches, and cute fuzzy animals are encountered as the club moves along and gets steadily more popular.
