During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, the imperial court was controlled by the Yan Party, the internal government was corrupt, Japanese pirates were rampant along the coast, and the Ming Dynasty was in danger. He wanted to marry his childhood sweetheart, Princess Li Zhenzhen of the Prince's Mansion. However, this marriage between the literary and martial families aroused the fear of Mingde, a high-ranking official in the court. So Mingde designed to promote Cheng Wendao's sworn brother Gao Jianxiong, and falsely passed on the imperial decree to exterminate Cheng Wendao's family. Gao Jianxiong, who felt guilty, let Cheng Wendao go, but the two had a grudge from then on. The seriously injured Wendao was rescued by Shaolin monks and taken to Shaolin Pharmacy for treatment, and a story about "Zen, martial arts, and medicine" began.

He unveils the evil pulling the strings of a Yokai army, Kaen Daimaoh (Infernal Devil), but is mortally wounded by the creature. Suddenly, another apparition appears, Shiro Jishi Kamen (White Lion Mask), who spares his life — and now Tsurugi must fight as the human form of this agent of righteousness to preserve justice!

Victory at Sea is a documentary television series about naval warfare during World War II that was originally broadcast by NBC in the USA in 1952–1953. It was condensed into a film in 1954. Excerpts from the music soundtrack, by Richard Rodgers and Robert Russell Bennett, were re-recorded and sold as record albums. The original TV broadcasts comprised 26 half-hour segments—Sunday afternoons at 3pm in most markets—starting October 26, 1952 and ending May 3, 1953. The series, which won an Emmy award in 1954 as "best public affairs program", played an important part in establishing historic "compilation" documentaries as a viable television genre. Over 13,000 hours of footage gathered from US, British, German and Japanese navies during World War II were perused in the making of these compelling episodes.

Stepping Out is a Chinese drama in Singapore, telecast in 1999 and reran in 2006. The series is mainly the Chinese immigrant experience in Singapore, and their rough, hard ascent to the present state of wealth and riches that is unprecedented in Singaporean history. The drama begins in China and spans roughly three decades. It was produced following the success of the 1997 period drama The Price of Peace. The story begins at the beginning of the Chinese Civil War during the 1920s. The chaos and upheaval which entailed caused many Chinese to migrate to Southeast Asia, mainly Malaysia and Singapore, and sets the background for the series. The Hock Lee bus riots and Chinese middle schools riots of the 1950s were referenced and clips of the actual incidents were shown.

Amagi Yu is a slightly eccentric detective who has been assigned to the Twelfth Section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division from the Lost and Found Centre. The Twelfth Section is called the “graveyard of detectives” and ridiculed as the “banishment room where hardened detectives who cannot be fired are sent”. Its assembled detectives Samura Kosuke, Yamashita Takumi, Nagasawa Keita, Mizutani Tamaki and Katagiri Masatoshi are elite and yet oddballs. Amagi appears fixated with time which seems to have no relation with a case. Raising questions about the timelines of the perpetrator and victim derived from the estimated time of death, time of crime, time of alibi and time limit, he searches for the meaning of “blank time” which arises from this. He obsesses over the weight of every minute and second of time because of some incident.
