Lagardère is a French miniseries consisting of six 50-minute episodes, created by Marcel Jullian based on Paul Féval's novel Le Bossu (the eighth film adaptation outside of theater, out of 10 known adaptations), and some of the sequels imagined by Paul Féval Jr.1, directed by Jean-Pierre Decourt, and broadcast from September 20 to October 25, 1967, on the first channel of ORTF.

Freddie Moreno had finally escaped from the raucous house of women with whom he grew up. Having achieved some success as head chef at a trendy Chicago restaurant, he's ready for love and everything else that single life has to offer, including hanging out with his best friend and neighbor, Chris. Despite this little problem, days are usually happy and fun around the Otoi household, where robots, people and animals live in harmony. Except for the occasional feud over house cleaning chores or the affections of the female robot Elara. everything is relatively peaceful. However, one day Signal is attacked by Pulse, one the Doctor's previous creations and the prototype for Signal. Despite being critically nearsighted, Pulse is loaded down with weapons and has been reprogrammed by Dr. Otoi's mysterious rival. He's on a mission to steal the most recent robot technology, and obliterate anything that gets in his way.
