Specials was a 1991 BBC Birmingham series about Special Constables in a fictional Midlands town. Twelve 50- minute episodes were made. The series was shot on videotape at Pebble Mill, Birmingham and using locations around West Bromwich and Birmingham, England.

A consultant who has a superhuman sense of smell and assists in solving cases by smelling the scents left behind at crime scenes. He usually lives with a nasal plug, but once he removes it, and takes one sniff with his keen sense of smell, he will know the person’s age, gender, what he or she ate and even lifestyle. Besides investigating cases, he is researching whether people’s emotions have scent too. He has a daughter with Katayama Megumi.

This is a story about three best friends: Shura, Yulya and Anya. They are 18 years old, all the most important things in life are happening for the first time, and they approach everything with youthful zeal and maximalism. Yulia Kuzmina can never break off relationships with her boyfriend, a policeman who constantly cheats on her, and Anya Silkina, using the connections of her dad-producer, comes up with a new career once a week.

The show has aired in Japan since 1992 and broadcast over a thousand episodes. It has been dubbed into English by a variety of different companies. Government Crime Investigation Agent Zaizen Jotaro (ja)

After Japan's economic bubble burst the country slowly recovered, but dirty politicians still make deals with dirty businessmen so that they can both profit from the hard work of others. Keiichi Suzuki, head of Ōshika Construction, and Seijiro Matsuzaka, one of the members of parliament, have a deal going on that allows Ōshika Construction to use fewer materials in their projects while still letting their buildings get approved for business use. Unfortunately for them, the Government Crime Investigation Agency, the Japanese government-approved but independently-run equivalent to the FBI, is already on the move. Jotaro Zaizen, a long-thought-dead police officer, is the agent on the Ōshika case and gathers a group of people who have reasons to fight Suzuki and Matsuzaka. To help combat the GCIA, though, Suzuki hires the Haoukokuryu-kai, a yakuza group.

A Journey of two people at opposite ends of their lives. Shota (Kamiki Ryunosuke) is a little boy who runs away from home, due to both of his parents' neglect. With just his piggy bank, he bravely walks out of the house without either of his parents noticing; as both of his parents are doctors and are busy checking patients. On the other side, Jun-chan (Naoki Sugiura) is a terminally ill old man who decides to run away from the hospital. Their paths cross and then somehow they end up travelling to the countryside together.
