Six soldiers and their lieutenant are on an exploratory mission a few days before the end of a training course. Unfortunately, due to a mistake, the group gets lost and accidentally ends up on French territory. The lieutenant is then faced with a real dilemma: returning to Switzerland via the nearest customs post means accepting the legal consequences—in fact, any Swiss national who crosses the border with an assault rifle is automatically considered a deserter—or returning to the country illegally through the forest, which is foreign territory and sometimes dangerous.

Hum lives in a refugee camp near Hamburg. He loves films and finances his visits to the cinema by selling lost properties from cinema visits in the refugee camp. One day he meets Anna and her friend Ida. At a dinner together in the shared flat of the two, they find out that they all share a love of music. Anna and Ida can sing great together and Hum shares the contact with his friends who play in a band. A timid and touching love story develops between Hum and Anna. Both are looking forward to the first performance of the band, in which Anna now sings. But shortly before the performance, Hum is to be deported. Neither his love for Anna and music nor his imagination can save him from the everyday life of a refugee.

This conceptual art experiment questions the very nature of film and cinema while serving as an ironic tribute to the found footage horror pop culture. The found footage format provides the narrative justification for such a film to exist: the non-existence exists because the footage existed yet it was lost and never found.

However, the strange tasks ordered by the monitors continually disrupt personal plans. The confusion increases when the same monitors stop hiding their conflicts, forcing each participant to assume an unexpected responsibility despite the consequences.
