The recordings were taken from the "Sabaton Cruise" concert in December 2010, as well as from various venues on the "World War Live 2010" European tour. The limited first edition of the album also includes a bonus DVD. Like Heroes, Carolus Rex and The Last Stand, World War Live was mastered by Jonas Kjellgren.
