Thalia, young, beautiful, and ambitious, arrives from abroad, where she studied theater, to pursue a career as an actress in Greece. She becomes involved with a young writer, Nikitas, a romantic idealist who disagrees with his beloved's ambitions and plans. Thalia is hired as the leading actress in a major theater company, co-starring with the popular actor Tasos Stergiou, and at the same time takes part in a television production. Nikitas gets involved with some anarchist groups, wanting to gather information to write a book about their ideology. His involvement proves fatal, because one night he finds himself in a clash between anarchists, which results in casualties. The police pursue him while he goes into hiding. Meanwhile, Thalia is on the road to success, while her anxiety about Nikitas' fate reaches its peak.
