A new admirer Vadim, an intelligent and decent man, offers a woman a hand and heart. Even Kira's former mother-in-law favors the man and blesses the ex-daughter-in-law for a new marriage. Suddenly, the prodigal husband Alexey appears on the threshold of Kira's apartment after a six-year separation. Literally on his knees, he begs his wife to take him back. The daughter, who has not stopped loving her father, also asks her mother to forgive him. Kira's heart is torn apart, she can't make a decision.
